ලෝක බැංකු සමුහයට අයත් ජාත්‍යන්තර සංවර්ධන සමායතනය (IDA) විසින් අරමුදල් සපයනු ලබන පහත සඳහන් ව්‍යාපෘතිවල මෙතෙක් බැඳීම් ඇති කරගෙන නොමැති ඇමරිකානු එක්සත් ජනපද ඩොලර් මිලියන 60ක් COVID - 19 හේතුවෙන් බලපෑමට ලක් වී ඇති සමාජ කොටස් ඉලක්ක කරගත් වැඩසටහන් සඳහා යොදා ගැනීම පිණිස ජාත්‍යන්තර සංවර්ධන සමායතනය (IDA) එකඟතාව පළ කර ඇත.
එනම් ප්‍රවාහන සම්බන්ධතා හා වත්කම් කළමනාකරණ ව්‍යාපෘතිය, පාරිසරික පද්ධති සංරක්ෂණය සහ කළමනාකරණය කිරීමේ ව්‍යාපෘතිය, දේශගුණික විපර්යාසයන්ට අනුගත වන කෘෂි-වාරි සංවර්ධන ව්‍යාපෘතිය එසේම ජාත්‍යන්තර සංවර්ධන සමායතනයේ සංක්‍රාන්ති ණය පහසුකම යටතේ ඇමරිකානු ඩොලර් මිලියන 05ක් සහ වසංගත හදිසි මූල්‍ය පහසුකම යටතේ ඇමරිකානු ඩොලර් මිලියන 1.72ක ප්‍රදානයක් ලබා දීමට එකඟතාව පළ කර ඇත.
එමෙන්ම ජාත්‍යන්තර සංවර්ධන සමායතනය (IDA) විසින් සංක්‍රාන්ති සහාය ණය යටතේ තවත් ඇමරිකානු ඩොලර් මිලියන 22.24ක් ලබා දීමට එකඟතාව පළ කර ඇත. ඒ අනුව ලබාගැනීමට නියමිත මුළු අරමුදල් ප්‍රමාණය ඇමරිකානු ඩොලර් මිලියන 87.24 දක්වා වැඩි කිරීමටත්, එකී අරමුදල් COVID 19 ව්‍යාප්තිය හේතුවෙන් සමාජයේ තදබල බලපෑමට ලක් වූ කොටස් ඉලක්ක කරන ලද සමාජ ආරක්ෂණ ක්‍රමවේද සඳහා යොදා ගැනීමටත් මුදල්, ආර්ථික සහ ප්‍රතිපත්ති සංවර්ධන අමාත්‍ය වශයෙන් ගරු අග්‍රාමාත්‍යතුමා ඉදිරිපත් කරන ලද යෝජනාව අමාත්‍ය මණ්ඩලය විසින් අනුමත කරන ලදී. The international Development Association of the World Bank Group has agreed to use US$60 milion, which is not yet bonded, for the following projects funded by the International Development Corporation (UNDP) to fund programs targeted at Covid-19 affected social segments. They are Transport Connectivity and Asset Management Project, Ecosystem conservation and management Project, Agro-irrigation development project to climate change. Further, The International Development Agency (IDA) has agreed to provide US$5 million under the Transit Loan Facility and US$1.72 million grant under the Pandemic Emergency Financing Facility. Subsequently, the International Development Agency (IDA) has agreed to provide an additional US$22.4 million under transition assistance loans. Accordingly, the cabinet of ministers approved the proposal presented by Hon. Prime Minister in his capacity as the Minister of Finance, Economy and Policy Development to increase the total amount of funds to be obtained up to US$ 87.24 million and to use these funds for social security measures targeting the severely impacted sections of society due to Covid-19 outbreak.
